Latvian National Museum of Natural History
I worked with the Latvian National Museum of Natural History to design interactive content for their Baltic Sea exhibition. I created all the animations, transforming scientific information about sea life into engaging, easy-to-understand visuals. The focus was on educating through entertainment and interaction.

The exhibition features touchscreen tablets with games and activities, including a digital puzzle exploring fish anatomy and short animated films that show the daily lives of different species. The goal was to encourage curiosity and learning through play, making complex topics accessible and memorable for all visitors.
The animations I created for the Baltic Sea exhibition include detailed illustrations of native fish species, drawn to reflect their real-life appearance. For example, this animation captures the world of the Baltic Sea with accurate fish illustrations, combined with a playful design and animation style.
I created a scrollable carousel of animated cards showing how different Baltic Sea fish care for their eggs. Each card illustrates a unique method, like hiding eggs under rocks or sticking them to algae. The top part features the interactive carousel, while the bottom displays a preview of more cards that can be explored by scrolling.

For each fish species, visitors can click to explore more about their life, including growth stages, behavior, and habitat. The content is brought to life with custom animations that make learning engaging and easy to understand for all ages.
The interactive puzzle allows visitors to explore the anatomy of a fish through multiple stages. First, they assemble the skeleton, then the internal organs, and finally the outer parts like the head, eyes, fins, and tail. Each stage helps users understand how a fish is built in a fun and educational way.
